MINUTES FOR CDA MEETING
August 10, 2010

Meeting was called to order

Motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes from the previous meeting. Motion carried. Bob announced that Ron Livengood had invited him to speak     at Rotary on Sept 8,2010 and members of the board were invited.

It was decided that a follow up with the Legislative Delegation would be done by Bob.

Bob was also to contact Johnny Ivey regarding a visit to our meeting to discuss the IDB.

Steve Kennamer was to contact Attorney Frank McPhillips regarding addressing CDA about TIFs.

A motion was made and seconded and carried to make Cathy O'Shields the initial contact for inquires.

Linda was to prepare a contact information sheet and get to Cathy.  

Ron Bailey reported on the TIF meeting that was held at the Chamber.   Tony was able to attend one of these meetings.

Mayor Potter reported on how some areas are using TIFs for   


schools, school remodeling, sewers, etc.  It was agreed by the board that TIFs were definitely an area to utilize and explore.
