Prevention Fireworks Ordinances Scottsboro City Ordinance number 56 prohibits any person from having, keeping, storing, using, manufacturing, selling, handling, or transporting same within the city of Scottsboro, Alabama, or the police jurisdiction. Fireworks are defined as any sparkler, aquib, rocket, firecracker, roman candle, signal lights, railroad track torpedo, flashlight composition, or other devices or composition used to obtain visible or audible pyrotechnics display. Public displays of fireworks may be permitted upon written approval from the Alabama State Fire Marshals Office and the fire chief. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of an offense against the City of Scottsboro and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $100.00, or by imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months, either or both, in the discretion of the Court before whom the case is tried. |
