Scottsboro Landfill

The Scottsboro Landfill is a Municipal Solid Waste Landfill and is located at 650 County Rd. 412 in Hollywood. Operational hours are from 6:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. Monday through Friday and from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Saturdays. The Scottsboro landfill is open to contractors, businesses, companies, haulers and individuals from Jackson, Madison, & Dekalb counties.

• Household Garbage
• Dried Paint
• Food Waste
• Petroleum Contaminated Soil*
• Approved Industrial Wastes*
• Clothing
• Construction/Demolition Debris

• White Goods**
• Uncontaminated Metal
• Shingles
• Large Dead Animals**
• Flood Debris*
• Asbestos**

  * Approval from ADEM must be obtained prior to disposal. Contact the Alabama Department of Environmental Management Office of Solid Waste at (334)271- 7988.
